ABACE2016 Static Display Strongest Yet
Feb. 17, 2016
With less than two months remaining before the start of the 2016 Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE2016) in Shanghai, China, organizers report the event’s static display of aircraft will showcase an unprecedented range of business aircraft models suited for a wide variety of specific roles and missions.
Organizers expect about 40 aircraft to be on static display on the ramp at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, including single and twin-engine piston aircraft and single and twin-engine turboprop aircraft, piston and turbine helicopters, as well as turbine aircraft ranging from light jets to large-cabin intercontinental aircraft.
“We’re also in discussions to feature fixed-wing aircraft and rotorcraft utilized for emergency medical service and medical evacuation purposes,” added Joe Hart, NBAA director for static displays. “The increased visibility of these aircraft at ABACE2016 highlights the strong regional demand for this segment of business aviation across China and the Asian region.”
The static display at ABACE2016 will also include an expanded number of exhibitor chalets, offering comfortable, climate-controlled indoor areas where attendees may discuss the latest aircraft, products, and services with representatives from manufacturers and other service providers.
“In addition to a high level of demand for chalets, many exhibitors have also requested larger displays for this year’s event,” Hart added. “As a result, the indoor pavilion area has been expanded to accommodate this growth.”
ABACE2016 is hosted in partnership with the Shanghai Airport Authority (SAA), and co-hosted by NBAA and the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA).
ABACE2016 will take place April 12 to 14 at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport.
