We’re just days away from the opening of the 2017 Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE2017). ABACE brings together the most influential business aviation products-and-services providers with the entrepreneurs, decision-makers and others using aircraft for business. ABACE2017, set for April 11-13 in Shanghai, China, is presented in partnership with Shanghai Airport Authority (SAA), and co-hosted by the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA). ABACE2017 organizers announced that this year’s event will host the first-ever Chinese appearance of the fast and fuel-efficient HondaJet light business jet. “We are honored that Honda has chosen ABACE as its preferred venue for the introduction of this innovative jet to the Chinese market, and we welcome their participation and support for this year’s event,” said Mike Nichols, CAM, vice president, operational excellence and professional development for NBAA. Stephen Creamer, director of the Air Navigation Bureau at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), will discuss China’s aviation infrastructure during the ABACE2017 Opening General Session. He will be joined at the session by Hanscom Smith, consul general of the United States Consulate General in Shanghai; Geoff Jackson, executive director for the U.S.-China Aviation Cooperation Program; Jing Yiming, president, Shanghai Airport Authority; Jiang Chunshui, party secretary and deputy director general of the Eastern Regional Headquarters for the Civil Aviation Authority of China; and NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen.
