HondaJet to Make First-Ever Appearance in China at ABACE2017
March 28, 2017
Organizers of the 2017 Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE2017) announced that this year’s event will host the first-ever Chinese appearance of the fast and fuel efficient HondaJet light business jet.
Immediately recognizable with its distinctive, over wing-engine mount, the six-seat HondaJet is Honda Motor Company’s first commercial aircraft, and earned approval from the FAA in December 2015. The advanced light jet is manufactured in Greensboro, NC by Honda Aircraft Company.
“We are honored that Honda Aircraft chose ABACE as its preferred venue for the introduction of this innovative jet to the Chinese market, and we welcome their participation and support for this year’s event,” said Mike Nichols, CAM, vice president, operational excellence and professional development for the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA).
Taking place April 11-13 at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, ABACE2017 is hosted in partnership with the Shanghai Airport Authority SAA, and co-hosted by NBAA and the Asian Business Aviation Association AsBAA.
In addition to featuring the HondaJet on static display, the company also will host attendees at its exhibitor chalet on the ramp adjacent to ABACE host facility Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre.
“A chalet is the most prominent way to exhibit at ABACE, and this investment by Honda indicates the importance of the Chinese market in the global business aviation marketplace,” Nichols added.
The HondaJet will be among a wide range of diverse business aircraft that will be on display throughout ABACE2017, including single and twin-engine piston aircraft, single and twin-engine turboprop aircraft, piston and turbine rotorcraft and turbine aircraft ranging from light jets to large-cabin intercontinental aircraft.
