ABACE Static Display Creates ‘One-Stop Shopping’ for Asian Aircraft Buyers
March 25, 2019
When attendees arrive at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport for the 2019 Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE2019), show organizers are ensuring prospective buyers and aircraft manufacturers experience a static display optimized for convenience.
“ABACE is the signature business aviation event in Asia,” said Joe Hart, NBAA director, static displays. “Manufacturers are using ABACE as the preferred venue to present their aircraft to the Asian market segment.
“There will be approximately 35 aircraft on static display, ranging from piston engine to intercontinental business jets and everything in between,” he added.
Hart said years of working with airport officials and government agencies has allowed expansion of the ABACE static display area, which is co-located with the indoor expo area.
“ABACE offers a unique opportunity for buyers to compare competing aircraft side-by-side. It is one of the only places where Asian buyers can view a diverse line-up of business aircraft in one location, while also having the opportunity to meet with the various suppliers and service providers that are vital for the operation of the aircraft,” Hart said. “Customers can easily visit one aircraft and seconds later stand inside the next aircraft and feel the difference. The manufacturer hospitality chalets are also conveniently located just meters away from the static aircraft.”
ABACE2019, which takes place from April 16-18, is co-hosted by NBAA and the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA) in partnership with the Shanghai Airport Authority (SAA).
